Lederhosen

Hey mom!!! I'm sorry, I don't have a lot of time this week. So I want to call you on Christmas... um maybe at 7 or 8 here, so 11 or 12 there. We might be at the church. Um... no investigators this week. Next week that will change. I'm getting a new Companion, Elder Woolley. He's from Gilbert also!!! It's crazy, he was in Aachen while I was in Köln, so we know each other already. I'm excited, he and I are gonna really chase Hanau up and get some work going here. Elder Butler is on to Wiesbaden.

This week I got Lederhosen... €150, Thanks Nana! haha They look good. Please excuse the mess, my companion is "packing" to leave, so our apartment is in disarray...

***Missionaries get to call home twice a year, Mother's Day and Christmas.  With today's technology, we can Skype or Facetime so we see them as well.  It's a wonderful blessing to be able to see and hear them.  Every missionary in Germany buys lederhosen at some time.  Lederhosen are the National Costume for German males.  Jacob was so excited to finally buy his own. ***
Jacob's lederhosen, bought with Christmas money from Nana

Second hand German army jacket

This is a wonderful German couple who fed them dinner and sang songs.

Hanau is Beautiful

So Hanau is beautiful. Goodness, I love it :) It's a lot more rural here and helps me feel at home. I'm not a huge city guy :p This week a woman approached me and told me that she had seen Jesus in a dream. We got her info and will be heading to her apt. to speak with her and her son. This week we have a split with the Wetterau Elders! I'm so excited, I get to split with the Golden Newbie for his first time alone in his area :) I'm excited haha Germany is crazy in the beginning. He'll do great though :)

Today we are going to Fulda to see the Christmas Market :) I'm excited to get some things to send home :) hopefully I can get something really German.

Well, I'm not sure what more I can say :) I'm on the train right now, and looked out the window and what do I see? Another Huge church haha Germany is so beautiful. I wish I could really show you guys what I see everyday. We'll have to come back to see it :)

Well, until next week <3

P.S. My companion tried to make a grilled cheese in the toaster haha I had the idea, executed it Stupendously, but he failed... then he proceeded to put 2... not 1 but 2 forks full long into our toaster to pull it out. All the while, the sisters are showing us a new song they found over the phone... welcome to my life <3 :D

Last week, I got bored while my companion made phone calls.
