He made it!

Dear Family Fisher,

We are excited to inform you that Elder Fisher made it to Germany safe and sound. We are excited to work with him. We are praying for him and for you. Thank you for all of your support.

Sincerely,
President and Sister Stoddard

(Jacob called from the Detroit airport before he boarded the plane to Frankfurt.  After a emotional minute hearing each others' voices, we all had a great talk.  The timing was perfect and the whole family talked for just a few minutes.  He is so excited.  He is impressed and thankful that his German is good.  He actually had trouble finding the English words for some things during our conversation. This means he is thinking in German.  He will still have to learn to understand native speakers, but the skills are there.  He bore his testimony to us in German and it was music.  Like Elder Uchtdorf says, German is the celestial language.  As soon as they checked in, they were supposed to go to a street exhibit where they handed out Books of Mormon and talked with the people.  He was really excited for that.  Then they would be given an orientation and end the day with dinner with the Mission President.  I can't wait to hear about the first week on the ground.  Stay tuned, his P-days will be Monday from now on, so emails will be posted then.)
